This year marks another key milestone in Royal London’s brand strategy as our two protection businesses, Bright Grey and Scottish Provident, rebrand to Royal London.

While our name will change to Royal London our vision for protection remains the same – to give you a flexible proposition that’s easy to recommend and gives the right cover at the right time with the right experiences for you and your clients.

We’re improving our critical illness cover

We’re committed to offering cover where it matters and quality where it counts. This is why we’re continuing to focus on leading definitions for the main causes of claim and improving Bright Grey’s critical illness cover to give your clients even more value.

We now offer:

  • A new definition – spinal stroke – so now include 44 full payment definitions
  • An improved Parkinson’s definition that will be ABI+ – we now have16 ABI+ definitions
  • Improved cover for several other conditions – including multiple sclerosis and 3 early forms of cancer
  • Improved clarity on a number of other definitions and we have also introduced the ABI’s statement of best practice changes
  • Higher payouts for additional conditions cover to 25% of the sum assured up to £25,000
  • Improved cover for children
