The new EU Mortgage Credit Directive (EU MCD) comes into effect on 21 March 2016, and Nationwide has committed to working closely with you to give you the information and support needed ahead of these changes.

Nationwide are keen to ensure that these changes are seamless for you and your clients, and have launched a dedicated EU MCD page on their website which details how they’ll be implementing the new regulation and approach to applications in the pipeline.

Here are the key points:

  • Nationwide will continue to issue a Key Facts Illustration (KFI), enhanced with the additional information required for the EU MCD.
  • For applications submitted ahead of Nationwide’s implementation of the EU MCD, you won’t need to produce a new KFI for your clients.
