Platform has improved its process in relation to a change of solicitors, and in most cases no longer require the change of solicitor form.

Brokers can provide change of solicitor instructions directly in the following instances:

  • Where the change is to the Bank’s Free Standard Legals (FSL) solicitors;
  • Where the change is requested by the Bank from FSL solicitors to another firm on panel (e.g. loan amount outside FSL policy);
  • Same solicitor firm but change to different office address/branch within same firm or the firm being used has merged with another firm who is already on panel;
  • Where the new solicitor was not on the panel at time of application (i.e. old solicitors added to get case through) and the new solicitor has been added to the panel within the last 3 months.
