What to include in your clients self-build application…

Self-build can be complex as it is, so having a fully packaged application can smooth the process and help us the lender, to process much more efficiently!

Check out what you need to include in your clients application.

Building Plans

We want to see what the client is building! These plans will show us the outline of the home, as well as measurements, plumbing, garden areas and so on…

Costings Form

Here – we need to see your clients calculations for each stage! We’ve made sure to list everything you need to include at each stage as well as adding a list of everything not to include.

Check it out HERE

Planning Permission

Whilst we allow applications with outline planning permission, we need full planning permission to be granted before completion and release of the first stage payment!

Affordability Assessment Form

This will simply inform us of your clients current circumstances so we can ensure they can not only afford the repayments but also afford their outgoings for living during the build.

So alongside your Building Plans, Costings Form, Planning Permission and Affordability Assesment you need…

  • Completed application form
  • Proof of identity
  • Proof of address
  • Latest 3 months payslips / 2 years tax calculations + overview
  • Latest 3 months bank statements
  • Proof of mortgage payments / proof of rent payments
  • Proof of deposit
  • Self-build submission form
  • ESIS

…and then you need to pay for;

  • Application fee
  • Product fee

Valuation fee

“Self-build applications are that little more in-depth than a standard case.

Having all that information to hand with a fully packaged case means we can action the application more efficiently!”

– Kate, Intermediary Sales Assistant
