We hope that you have already settled into the new year and are looking forward to returning to some sort of normality following an unpredictable 2020. The national lockdown and the vaccination programme are making a lot of progress in tackling this virus and the future is starting to look brighter.

As we start to look forward to a post-Covid future with fewer restrictions, we are encouraged by the support you have given Freedom over the last 12 months and we would like to take a moment and look back at what has happened during this time and how this will continue to cement our place within the PMI market.

Customer Service Standards

During the pandemic we have focused on maintaining our service standards at all times and we have continued to do so during this latest lockdown. Despite having most of our colleagues working from home, we are proud that our staff have strived to provide the same excellent customer service you have been used to for so many years.

2 Year Fixed Premium Uptake

A year and a half ago we have launched our 2 Year Fixed Premium Guarantee and we are very glad to see that more than 90% of the business submitted by you in 2020 has this option included. I wanted to remind you that choosing this option when submitting a Freedom UK policy online has no impact on the premium (i.e. the quoted premium is the same whether you choose this or not). Virtual GP Usage

At the beginning of 2020 and as part of our commitment to constantly improving our products and services, we launched our virtual GP service (GP24) available to all our UK customers at no extra cost. This happened to coincide with the first lockdown of 2020, which brought a significant usage increase of the service overnight. Many Freedom clients have been using GP24 when they could not see their normal GP and the feedback we got so far from both brokers and clients is very positive. We will continue to look at ways to enhance this service in the future.

New Website with New Broker Area

In August 2020, we were very excited to announce the launch of our new website and refreshed brand. Most of you have already taken advantage of the new My Broker Area which allows you to save quotes and submit individual business online. I want to personally thank you for all feedback we received so far and to tell you that we already have a few ideas on how we could improve this further. New Partner and Literature Update

From 1st January 2021, we have started working with a new insurer, AWP Health & Life SA (for our Worldwide policies) and AWP P&C SA (for our UK business), more well known as Allianz Partners SAS. Most of the new documents are already available on our website. Please make sure you update your existing Freedom literature, particularly the IPIDs and the policy documents.
