Important update about your clients’ No Claim Discount (NCD).
Applicable to Healthier Solutions renewals between 11 May 2021 and 10 May 2022 for members whose cover began on or before 1 April 2020.
We wanted to let you know how we are continuing to support your clients during the pandemic. We are making some changes to the way we assess their No Claims Discount, to help during this uncertain time.
Throughout the pandemic, private hospitals have remained predominantly open, although their availability for treatment was impacted the most during the first wave of the pandemic. During those times, we saw some less urgent treatments being delayed either by restrictions on intensive care unit support that would usually be provided by the NHS or where the private hospital is supporting the NHS by making additional capacity available.
As the number of COVID-19 cases fall, we’re already seeing the availability of treatment starting to reach normal levels. Our regular conversations with private providers continue to give us the assurance that your clients are in safe hands when they seek treatment.
However, we recognise that this disruption may have affected your clients’ ability to access treatment and/or resulted in invoices being received later than usual. This in-turn may have impacted their No Claim Discount.
