We can insure Airbnb properties
Back in 2018 and long before the pandemic, there were 223,200 Active Listings in the UK on Airbnb. Since then this number has only risen. With the huge rise in staycations, those with spare rooms and homes are seeing the potential income those spare spaces can bring to the table. A great place to advertise these is on Airbnb and each of the listings on this site require specialist insurance which we can provide.
When insuring, there are three categories under Airbnb and for each there is a slightly different quotation process.
- Self-contained Airbnb: For example, an annex or converted garage, separate to the property that is lived in – To be quoted as Permanent home
- Entire Airbnb: A whole property for booking – Quote this as a Holiday let
- Bedroom Airbnb: Rooms for booking where owners still live in the house – Quote this as Bed and Breakfast
On the basis that these are standard properties, in all of the above circumstances you can get a quote through our Infinity Portal, just refer to us at the end so we ensure the client receives the right endorsements. All we need to know is the number of weeks the property will be let out for that year and what time of the year that will be.
One exception, if you are quoting for a self-contained Airbnb, we will also need to know the split of building and contents sums insured. For any other necessary information, you will fill this in as you walk your way through the portal
