In 2019 we paid 95.7% of claims, which totalled almost £5.9 million in benefit.
Sadly, some claims were rejected for the following reasons; inability to either provide proof of earnings or medical evidence, no loss of earnings following the illness or injury and non-disclosure.
Significantly, the most common reason for making a claim was accident or injury which accounted for 43.5% of applications. Other claims listed included depression, cancer, heart or circulatory complications as well as back, neck and shoulder problems.
Use our Claim Statistics Card today to dispel customer concerns and show your clients we do pay claims, whilst emphasising the need for good income protection cover.
