Packaging your cases correctly helps us to help you. By giving us everything we need to review your case at the start, we’ll spend less time chasing you for information and get straight to assessing the application.
There are three key areas where we regularly have to go back for more information, which means you may have to go back to your client for more information. Get them right at the start and your cases stand a better chance of sailing through the first time:
- Employment and income details – If there’s a second applicant, make sure you fill in their employment and income details, even if you don’t think they’re needed for affordability
- Background BTL properties – Make sure the expenditure for these properties is included in the expenditure section
- Dependants – If multiple applicants share dependants, record them under applicant one only to avoid double-counting them
