Plus, with a 90.3%* claims acceptance rate, we are proud to say this resulted in us paying over 7 million pounds* to our customers, providing extra financial support at a time of real need.
We continually review our proposition and frequently conduct both consumer and adviser research. As a result we are always looking at ways in which we can enhance our product so that it delivers an even more significant impact on our customers’ lives. We are delighted to announce that the latest enhancements to MetLife MultiProtect are available from 9th February for new customers, offering them even greater peace of mind.
Here is a reminder of some of the key improved benefits with MultiProtect:

- New Active Lifestyle Cover
We have added optional cover for just £1 a month, for individuals that enjoy an active lifestyle. Cover is now available for dislocations or ligament tears that need surgical intervention. - Fixing what’s broken
As one of the most common claims we received, we have increased the amount of benefit that customers receive when they break a bone (by 50% for adults and by 25% for children). - Removal of excluded occupations
We have removed the list of excluded occupations to allow more customers to take out the cover, and get the protection they need - Healthcare cover for all
We have expanded the healthcare cover to all customers, regardless of their occupation. - Easing funeral costs
We have extended our funeral cover so it’s graduated from 1-5 years, so if the policyholder passes away their family gets the support they need. - Wellbeing support, whenever it’s needed 24/7
Exclusive access to our Wellbeing support centre, for those day to day worries – from debt management to stress, childcare and eldercare and much more. Plus it’s available 24/7, all at no extra cost

We have also changed our commission to 100% API initial and renewal of 12.5% at month 25.
