Following feedback from our brokers, we’ve taken the opportunity to review and increase the limits on Freedom Elite for the optional psychiatric cover. What has changed?
The Freedom Elite Psychiatric Care option will have increased limits for the treatment of mental or psychiatric illness:
- Cover for outpatient treatment is being increased to £2,000
- Cover for inpatient and daypatient treatment is being increased to a full refund for up to 45 days
When does this take effect? These changes will be effective from 1st April 2018. Who is affected? These changes apply to Freedom Elite policies for policy renewals that currently include the Freedom Elite Psychiatric Care option and all new business. Updated documentation
The Freedom Elite documentation has been updated to reflect this change. You can access these documents here. Clients joining or renewing on or after 1st April 2018 will automatically receive access to the updated documentation.
I hope that this enhancement will enable you to place more individual and SME business with Freedom.
