Following feedback from our brokers, we’ve taken the opportunity to review and increase the age limit on Freedom Elite for child dependants on group schemes.
What has changed?
The upper age limit for child dependants on Freedom Elite group schemes will be increasing: the maximum child age at policy inception is being raised to 29. Children will be able to remain on the policy until the renewal date following their 30th birthday.
Who is affected?
This change applies to dependent children on Freedom Elite group schemes for new business and renewals.
Please note that the maximum age limit for child dependants on individual policies is not changing and remains at 24 years at policy inception.
When does this take effect?
This change will be effective from 1 March 2019.
Updated documentation
The Freedom Elite documentation has been updated to reflect this change. Clients joining or renewing on or after 1 March 2019 will automatically receive access to the updated documentation.
I hope that this enhancement will enable you to place more SME business with Freedom.
