General & Medical Healthcare are continually reviewing our products to ensure that they offer compelling solutions and great value to customers in line with the market. We have made some changes to our Private Medical Insurance products which are detailed below. These changes will display in online quotations, where applicable, from the effective date shown against each item.
2. Details of Changes
Channel Islands Upgrade
This cover is now available as an optional upgrade for residents of the Channel Islands for the services provided by the members Channel Islands G.P, including prescription costs, consultations and routine minor surgery. Cover is available for return travel costs to another Bailiwick or the UK, where medical treatment is required that is unavailable in the Bailiwick of the members’ residency. The cover will also provide benefit for travel and accommodation costs for parents or a qualified nurse accompanying a child for treatment.
Channel Islands General Practitioner Services
• £400 in the policy year for prescription costs and consultation charges made by the members G.P in the Bailiwick of their residency
• £300 in the policy year for routine minor surgery charges made by the members G.P in the Bailiwick of their residency
Channel Islands Travel Costs for Treatment
• £300 per return trip which may include air, ferry and/or taxi fare
• Limited to 6 return trips in your policy year
Channel Islands Travel and Accommodation Costs for Parent or Qualified Nurse Accompanying a Child for Treatment
• £300 per return trip which may include air, ferry and/or taxi fares
• £500 accommodation costs at the medical facility/hospital
• Limited to 6 return trips in your policy year
3. Actions and Supporting Documents
• All immediately affected documents are live on our website and available to download.
• All further affected documents will be available on our website when they come into effect.
• Please ensure that you log in to your Broker Area to view and download the new versions of our brochures and discard any old copies.
