Fracture Plus Protection is an optional extra to help ease the financial burden for people who suffer an injury while going about their daily lives. Some people are much higher risk than others, so we’ve added exclusions for those who take part in higher risk activities.
For any new quotes, we’ll no longer pay a claim under Fracture Plus Protection for an injury that happens when taking part in any of the following: boxing, cage fighting or martial arts; mountain boarding, parkour, cliff jumping, coasteering or base jumping; rugby, Gaelic football or hurling; off-road mountain biking or BMX; horse riding; motor car or motor cycle sport.
Excluding these higher risk activities, allows us to keep Fracture Plus Protection competitive and most importantly, make sure this valuable optional extra is still
available without any underwriting. We’ve updated our key facts and policy terms and conditions which apply to all new quotes immediately.
Existing policyholders
The changes won’t affec t any of our existing policyholders. We’ll continue to pay a valid claim for an injury that happened taking part in any of the above activities.
Quotes and applications in the pipeline
The exclusions don’t apply to existing quot es in Protection Builder or applications in progress.
