Market leading general insurance provider Paymentshield can confirm the planned closure of its Home and Protect subsidiary. Paymentshield’s core business remains unaffected and open as usual.

Website closure from 1^st Aug

Following the refresh of Paymentshield’s core Home Insurance and the limited volumes of business received by Home & Protect, Paymentshield has made the decision to close Home and Protect to new business. This move will enable Paymentshield to continue to focus on strengthening their core offering for advisers.

Home & Protect will stop accepting new submissions from 1 August.

Existing customers

Existing Home and Protect policyholders are unaffected by the closure. Customer’s will go through the normal renewal process and will continue to be serviced by Paymentshield;’s in-house Home and Protect team.

Pipeline quotes

All pipeline quotes will need to be submitted and placed on risk before 31 July as access to the Home and Protect website will not be possible from this date. Commission on existing live policies will continue to be paid in the normal way.

Ongoing support from Paymentshield

Paymentshield’s recently re-launched Home Insurance product underwritten by a leading panel of Insurers will provide 5 star Defaqto rated insurance for the majority of clients and advisers can continue to submit standard business to Paymentshield.
