Medical Professionals case study 

The application:

  • First time buyers requested £325,000 for their first home together
  • Applicant one was a doctor who had recently become locum after working for the NHS for two years. Applicant two was a junior nurse
  • The couple had been living with applicant one’s parents and paying them rent

Our solution:

Having only been in locum work for the past few months, we used the wage slips from this period to work out a projected income for the year, then added applicant two’s contracted income to work out affordability. We proceeded with the mortgage at 90% LTV over 30 years
