Legal & General Mortgage Club has launched a free live chat facility within its Mortgage Support Services team.

The new tool aims to provide an additional level of support for members, enabling advisers to contact the Support Services team directly with questions. By utilising an online chat forum, and creating a transcript of the conversation, L&G aims to offer a service with improved speed and accuracy to better help advisers with their mortgage business and lender relations.

The chat facility will provide advisers with instant information and help on difficult mortgages cases, lending criteria and additional services Legal & General Mortgage Club offers. The original telephone support service will still be available for all Legal & General members.

Jeremy Duncombe, Director, Legal & General Mortgage Club commented: “Legal & General Mortgage Club has always been committed to the intermediary, and the launch of our new online chat facility provides a new layer of support to help brokers navigate complex cases or get the latest on lender propositions, conveniently. Far from being a threat to advisers, technology like this can provide brokers with access to a wealth of information and guidance, helping them to keep informed about the latest changes in the market.

“As a unique, free service in the market, Mortgage Club Support Services is there to assist Legal & General’s intermediary partners with all aspects of their mortgage businesses. Whether by telephone or our new live chat facility, the team is dedicated to making life easier for brokers.”
