MetLife UK believes that wellbeing support services focusing on physical and mental health are increasingly important to customers who benefit from protection insurance either through work or from buying it themselves.

Support services (available via telephone and online) provided through Individual Protection and Group Risk are proving invaluable for a wide range of customers including employers, employees, self-employed workers and their families.

Research carried out by MetLife UK demonstrates that 39% – the equivalent of more than 12.8 million people2 – would value protection policies which offer easy and efficient access to wellness support services1.  81% of Financial Advisers believe the government should work to raise awareness of the support services being offered by individual protection policies, to help ease the burden on the National Health Service3.

MetLife UK have partnered with Health Assured, who offer health & wellbeing support services across both Individual Protection and Employee Benefits businesses.  Wellbeing support services include support for financial, physical and mental health topics with access to legal professionals, qualified counsellors and registered nurses.
