Classic Updates

We’ve expanded our distribution, making our Classic Lifetime Mortgage range available to a wider section of the equity release market, with advisers able to access the products through major equity release clubs AiR and Premier Equity Release club if they meet their qualifying criteria.

The Classic range is designed to offer ultimate flexibility, with customers able to make 12 optional ERC-free repayments per year provided they don’t exceed 10% of the initial amount borrowed in a 12 month period.  Available to clients aged 55-84, it features some of the lowest lifetime mortgage rates on the market, and in addition customers also benefit from no upfront costs with free valuations and the option of no arrangement fee.

Early repayment charges are fixed to give clients peace of mind, and in keeping with the best plans in the marketplace, the Classic Range has a three-year window after the first applicant in a joint plan enters long term care or passes away in which the remaining party can repay the debt in full without incurring any early repayment charge.

Adviser Support Update

We’ve enjoyed kicking off our bespoke marketing workshops for advisers earlier this month at our Leeds HQ. The events are designed to give an interactive walkthrough of the marketing support that we offer, culminating in the opportunity to design and develop your own marketing plan and identify any area of support you might require. Due to popular demand, we’ve added new dates to the schedule, offering even more opportunity to access our workshops throughout the year. We’ve also been working closely with the Equity Release Council to update and expand The Adviser Guide to Equity Release, ensuring that advisers entering the market have access to the necessary resources to help them make the most of its opportunities. Watch this space for the new launch in the coming weeks.

Expanded Teams for Unprecedented Service

We’ve recently expanded our Intermediary Sales and Customer Account Servicing Teams, enabling us to offer first class levels of support and service to you and your clients from initial KFI and throughout the duration of the lifetime mortgage.

Our Sales team now boasts not only three field-based BDMs but also a trio of office-based Relationship Managers and three Telephone BDMs (with a fourth being added imminently). It means that whenever an adviser needs support or clarification they have swift access to a member of the team to help answer their query, whatever the medium.

The growth of our Customer Account Servicing team has also been a recent focus, borne out of increased customer contact as a result of a portfolio which exceeded £1bn last spring (and which has grown considerably since). The investment in a team dedicated to customer support has allowed us to further develop our award winning service levels, supporting customers throughout their time with us as they explore and investigate the features of their plans.
