We want to update you on how we’re responding to the challenges of Coronavirus (COVID-19). The outbreak means we’re facing unprecedented times. We’d like to reassure you that at Simplyhealth we’re making every effort to provide support to our customers and colleagues.
Guidance and advice is changing almost on a daily basis and in order for us to support you and your clients as best we can, it is important we follow the guidance provided by the health authorities and government to keep our colleagues safe and healthy.
What we are doing
We are continuously reviewing our contingency plans to reduce risk and make sure you continue to be supported by your dedicated Consultant and Account Managers. We’ve already taken a range of steps to maintain our service to you and your clients, including equipping our teams with technology so they can continue to work remotely. You may experience a longer than usual wait time when contacting us while the COVID-19 situation continues. If that happens we apologise in advance and promise that we will return to normal service as quickly as possible.
GP service and Employee Assistance Programme (EAP)
At these uncertain times Simplyhealth are very aware of the importance of the virtual clinical services available through our cash plan for your clients’ employees, namely the 24/7 GP and our EAP service.
As to be expected these services are experiencing an increase in demand in their service and Simplyhealth are in daily contact with our providers to ensure that the service is maintained and delivered to the high clinical standard expected for our customers.
Our providers all have well established business continuity plans and we have received assurance that they have the functionality and capacity to continue to deliver these services and we will continue to receive this assurance on a daily basis.
During this extended period of uncertainty we ask for understanding that some services may need to be adapted, for example face to face counselling may be delivered via skype or other such tools.
Our thoughts are with anyone affected by COVID-19, Simplyhealth will continue to support the health and wellbeing of our customers.
