I’m pleased to announce that Inez Cooper and James Cooper have appointed Tariq Siddiqi as Commercial Director at William Russell.

Michael Lewars has decided to move on after 4 years in the role. Fortunately, the company quickly identified Tariq as Michael’s successor, and Tariq has enjoyed a successful handover period.

Over the last 20 years, Tariq has an impressive track record of sales leadership, business strategy and transformation across multiple sectors, with successful stints at BUPA, Citibank UK, and HCA Healthcare. Tariq will take responsibility for the strategic leadership of our business development teams around the world, overseeing new business activity, retention activity, and all brokered distribution. Tariq will also join the company’s leadership team and play a key role in the overarching company strategy.

Though we’re sad to see Michael depart, we’re extremely excited that Tariq is joining and he has already made a positive impact on the company. We also wish Michael well in his new role, and thank him for the last 4 years and all he has done to build the William Russell brand. His legacy is a team of highly motivated and effective colleagues in the UK, UAE, Indonesia and Egypt.
