The Exeter have announced that they paid 94% of income protection claims in 2016.

They released their annual statistics within a visual and engaging infographic, showing that once again the highest number of claims were made because of injuries and accidents – accounting for 37% of all those received.

A new addition to this year’s infographic – which you can download by clicking here – is the addition of claims cases studies, which tell powerful stories of some of the members The Exeter supported in 2016.

The Exeter were the first insurer to publish their income protection claims statistics in 2005 and have done so every year since.

Over the last 10 years they’ve paid an average of 95% of all income protection claims; a consistent service that’s just one of the reasons they’ve been awarded a 5 star Financial Adviser Service Award for four years in a row.
