Mosaic Health Cash Plan terms and conditions update

Looking after the everyday health and wellbeing of your client’s employees is important to us and we aim to provide health cover that is valuable now and sustainable in the future.

We’ve recently reviewed the terms and conditions for the Mosaic Health Cash Plan. The changes we’re making will come into effect from 1st September 2022 and aim to make what is and isn’t covered on the plan clearer and more transparent.

A summary of the main changes can be found below and the full terms and conditions of the plan can be found in the updated policy document available here.

Summary of the main changes

  • The age of a dependent child has increased from 18 years to 22 years.
  • We’ve changed ‘add a partner’ to ‘add an additional adult’ meaning any adult over the age of 18 years can be added to the policy. There can only be one additional adult policy for each corporate paid policy.
  • Policyholders will only be able to upgrade or add an additional adult in the first month from their policy renewal date. All upgrade or additional adult benefit cover is immediate (excluding maternity/paternity/adoption benefit) and any pre-existing medical conditions are now covered.
  • Optical benefit now covers solutions for prescribed contact lenses and repairs to prescription spectacles.
  • We’ve made changes to the referral process for Specialist Consultations and Diagnostics by expanding the definition of a medical professional to include other qualifications beyond just GP.
  • We’ve clarified the General Exclusions to the plan and the Personal Accident benefit rule.
  • We’ve increased our claims submission window from 13 to 26 weeks from the date of the receipt.
