Product Changes |
Our Flexible Health plans (Essentials, Premier and Elite) have some changes that came into effect from 1 July. Rate changes – Please be aware that the premium rates have increased from 1 July 2018. Increases this year have been approximately 3.5% underpinning our commitment to provide long term and sustainable premiums for our customers. Shared Responsibility – From 1 July 2018 we are offering additional Shared Responsibility options to our premier and elite plans. You can now offer £750, £1,500 and £5,000 along with the current options £250 (Premier only) £500, £1,000 and £3,000. |
Claim Changes |
Self-referral – We are now accepting self-referral’s for therapy treatment (physiotherapy, osteopathy and chiropractic care). Providing the claim is eligible under their plan terms we will look to authorise up to 4 sessions of therapy on a self-referred basis. Qualifying periods – We have previously removed the qualifying periods from the optical and health screening benefits on the Premier and Elite plans and we have now also removed the general dental benefit qualifying periods on these plans; allowing the customer to claim for these benefits straight away. |
Application Form Changes |
From 1 July 2018 we have made some changes to the application forms. These are attached so please note the changes. The important changes to note are:
Moratorium/Continued Moratorium criteria – The cancer screening wording within the Moratorium/Continued Moratorium criteria has been redefined as any screening owing to family history. This has also been added to the CPME Switch questions. This is to pick up on applicants that are screened for other serious conditions, not only cancer. CPME Switch questions – If a client is joining WPA on a CPME switch basis they now only need to declare any knee surgery they have had in the last 5 years. FMU questions – We have added a question regarding male conditions about abnormal PSA tests. Vaping – This is now included within the lifestyle section and will be treated the same as smoking. |
