The Switch CPME and Continued Moratorium joining terms for Retail and Micro-SME have changed, bringing greater consistency between the two options and a simplified onboarding process.
The changes detailed below are effective immediately and apply to the following products:
- Enterprise Flexible Benefits (EFB)
- Flexible Health β Elite, Premier and Essentials
The Multi-Family Healthcare Plan
What are the changes?
- The current Continued Moratorium joining criteria is replaced with a declaration consistent with the switch CPME declaration β this means individuals are no longer prevented from joining on a Continued Moratorium basis. However, they may have new personal exclusions applied to reflect what is declared on their application.
- The switch questions have been updated to the below:
Q1: Ever been diagnosed with any disease/abnormality of the heart or cardiac function, stroke or cancers?
Q2: In the last three years:
- Had any back, spinal, knee, hip or shoulder surgery?
- Had treatment for any mental health conditions (including anxiety, stress and depression)?
Q3: In the last 12 months had any hospital day-patient or in-patient and/or have any treatment or tests planned?
Note:
- Applicants are able to join on a Continued Moratorium regardless of their BMI (previously, applicants aged 55 and older were only able to join on a Continued Moratorium with a BMI below 35).
- We still require confirmation of your clientβs acceptance of any new exclusions (if any applied) before we can finalise the contract.
These changes apply to new joiners only and not any existing WPA clients.
What paperwork is needed?
This remains unchanged and we will still need:
- Individual Switch Application
- Certificate of Registration (most recent version)
The new Application Forms are available below:
- Flexible Health Switch App
- EFB Switch App
- Multi-Family Switch App
- Multi-Family New Family Member Switch App
If you have any questions please send them in to your usual WPA new business contact.
