Over Age Dependant rules have changed

We are pleased to advise there is no longer an age limit for Over Age Dependants (OADs) on our SME products: Enterprise Flexible Benefits, Enterprise Health and Precision Corporate Healthcare.

This means Child Dependants are able to remain on the Group Scheme over the age of 25, providing they continue to reside at the Group Scheme Member’s address (unless in full-time education) and are unmarried.

Previous rule:

  • Child Dependants were automatically removed from the Group Scheme at the renewal following their 25th birthday.

New rule:

  • Child Dependants will automatically remain on the Group Scheme unless WPA receive a request to remove them from an authorised Group Coordinator.
  • Child Dependants aged over 25 years will be priced at 50% of the Policyholders premium.
  • These OADs will continue to have a ‘Relationship Type’ of Child Dependant and show their relevant age on all documents.
  • As these OADs are charged a premium they are not included in the maximum of five Child Dependant rule.

Switch (CPME/Continued Moratorium)
