New Life Protection Platform launched

On Wednesday 5th September we launched our new Life Protection Platform. This will deliver a better application experience, a new and enhanced range of products and control over your clients’ protection solutions now and in the future.

An email was sent to you on Wednesday to explain the significant improvements to our application journey as well as our range of new and enhanced products and features. Your firm has already been pre-registered on the new platform for you, so getting started should be really easy.

Here’s some steps you will need to follow:
We have three user roles and you will need to decide which is best for you.

  • If you want to use our Platform as an adviser, just log in to ZHub using the same username and password you use today. You will see the button to upgrade to our new Platform. Click on this and follow the instructions to complete your set up.
  • If you have already provided us with details for an administrator for your firm, you can log on using the username and password you provided when you were nominated as the administrator. If you did not nominate an administrator in advance, please speak to the Agency and Remuneration team on 0800 151 33 33 who will help you register an administrator against your firm.
  • If you want to act as a paraplanner, you will need to speak to the administrator user for your firm and request that they set you up.

If you get stuck, there are a range of ‘how to’ videos on our registration page that will show you what to do and we have also created an onboarding guide that walks you through each step of the set up.

Pipeline

All new quotes and applications will be processed through the new Platform. Any quotes that you’ve already obtained for existing products will remain valid for 30 days, and these can be applied for within this timeframe.

You will be able to access your current ZHub pipeline in the same way as today. This will include all applications submitted through the old ZHub system. We will keep this pipeline open for a period to allow these applications to complete in the normal manner. If you wish to transfer any of these applications to the new products on the new system, you will need to re-apply.

Any new applications can be viewed by using the new adviser portal on our platform.

Hints and tips

  • There must be an active adviser registered against the firm before a paraplanner is able to quote/apply. If you see an error message when you click on ‘new quote’, it’s because your firm needs to register an adviser (as per the instructions above).
  • Paraplanners will automatically have access to view the pipeline for all advisers in the firm. The administrator for your firm can restrict access to suit your business model. This is in the adviser portal administration section.
  • Make sure your username is linked to the correct FCA authorisation number for the firm. You can check this by clicking on My Profile. If it’s wrong, then you will need to register a new username and password with the correct FCA number by following the instructions on the registration page.
