Scotland and parts of England have recently been hit with the rare weather phenomenon ‘thundersnow’ – when thunderstorms form in wintry conditions and give rise to heavy downpours of snow. The Met office has already had yellow weather warnings in place and there’s a potential for further snow and ice to come.
