As part of our on-going commitment to your clients and improving our claims service, we’ve recently launched our Second Medical Opinion service.
Should your client need to make a claim, our Second Medical Opinion service could provide added peace of mind and can help make sure your clients get the right diagnosis and the right treatment during a difficult time.
The service provides:
* Access to a database of Consultant Specialists throughout the UK
* A face-to-face consultation (telephone consultations will be considered if necessary)
* A supporting report which is sent to the client and their GP.
Provided by Healix Health Services Ltd the service is completely confidential and independent from Legal & General. Healix have access to a UK database of Consultant Specialists, so clients can select the most convenient based on their location and availability.
The service is included on all new policies taken out from 29 June 2015. These include:
* Term Assurance (Terminal Illness Cover)
* Critical Illness Cover (including Children’s Critical Illness Cover)
* Family and Personal Income Plans
* Income Protection Benefit, and
* Business Protection (excluding Business Whole of Life and Relevant Life Plan).
