We’ve updated our CIC definitions to enhance our cover and to incorporate the latest ABI Statement of Best Practice 2014. The changes increase the total number of illnesses we cover to 42 full payment definitions, of which 17 are ABI+.
We’ve improved our definition for Motor Neurone Disease to include cover for spinal muscular atrophy, making it an ABI+ condition. Our new cover for Spinal Stroke is a market leading definition. We cover customers who experience symptoms for only 24 hours rather than insist on there being persisting clinical symptoms.
We’ve also improved our interactive tool, AnatoME, so it offers even more information about each of our critical illness definitions and useful facts about each condition.
‘Because’ Marketing Campaign
Our Direct Marketing Team are launching their Q1 ‘Because’ Insurance campaign on 18 January. It will run until the end of February and the campaign idea focuses on the emotional triggers that make people realise the importance of life insurance. Various media channels will be used including outdoor bill boards and posters, press, radio, digital and social. Look out for the posters on the London Underground which also feature a ‘speak to your adviser’ call to action. We believe this campaign could help you to introduce Legal & General to your clients and reinforce our market leader status. This campaign should also help to bring Legal & General to the attention of potential clients who may not be aware of us and could also help reinforce confidence in their decision to become a Legal & General customer.
