General & Medical Healthcare are continually reviewing our products to ensure that they offer compelling solutions and great value to customers in line with the market. They have made some changes to our Private Medical Insurance products which are detailed below.
These changes will display in online quotations, where applicable, from the effective date shown against each item.

| Changes to our commission percentage rates and structure come into effect for all policies starting or renewing on or after 01st August 2019 which includes the following:
The new commission guide replaces all previous versions and is available to download from 01st August via your secure login via the General & Medical website. |
The new commission rates are as follows (these are indemnified as we opt to have indemnified, there is a 2% increase in commission if you would prefer ‘on the drip’):
- Individual – initial : 32%
- Individual – Renewal : 9%
- Company 2-99 – initial : 18%
- Company 100+ – initial : 13%
- Company – renewal : 9%
- Sports players – initial : 25%
- Sports Club 2-99 – initial : 14%
- Sports players 100+ – initial : 10%
- Sports players and club – renewal : 9%
Actions and Supporting Documents
- All immediately affected documents are live on our website and available to download.
- All further affected documents will be available on our website when they come into effect.
- Please ensure that you log in to your Broker Area to view and download the new versions of our brochures and discard any old copies.
To do this, click on the ‘Login button at the top of our website homepage, and select ‘Broker Login’ from the available options, at which point you will be prompted to enter your login details.
Once logged in, please click on ‘Download Literature’ to view and download up to date versions of our brochures and application forms.
