Platform have made product transfers smoother than ever and their Online Product Transfer application feature is designed to save time and effort for you. To help you make the most of the service, they’ve been gathering feedback from you. The following are some hints and tips to ensure they process your application for your client as soon as they can.

Making the most of Platform Online Product Transfers

  • Your client’s personal data must be correct at the time of application or there may be delays while this is amended.
  • The details required to complete the application form are on your client’s notification letter (please ensure you use the correct mortgage number which starts with 13), and on their DDM reference.
  • Ensure that the term is correct as this may indicate that a change is required and delay the offer.
  • Correctly complete the correspondence address to indicate where your copy of the mortgage offer should be sent.
  • For online submission, please print each page for your compliance records including the submission acceptance.

Once you’ve submitted your application

  • Please allow 7 working days after submitting your application before calling the retention line to make an enquiry.
  • If you need to call, have your customer’s mortgage account number, full name and postcode to hand.
  • Ensure that your client signs and returns the Form of Authority to reach Platform at least 10 working days before the maturity date. Platform don’t send reminders and the switch will not take place if this is not received on time.
  • Please note, they will not backdate the mortgage account if the signed Form of Authority is received after the maturity date.
