The Right Mortgage & Protection Network (TRM) has recently announced the appointment of Gemma Penkethman as PMI Supervision & Development Manager, further strengthening its specialist PMI & Healthcare division as the network continues to expand its presence in the private medical insurance market.
The appointment reflects TRM’s ongoing investment in its PMI proposition, having developed a dedicated specialist division to support advisers in addressing a clear gap within the intermediary market for expert-led PMI advice and support.
Gemma Penkethman joins as PMI Supervision & Development Manager, overseeing PMI firm supervisors and trainees, delivering training and development support, and playing a key role in driving forward the network’s growing PMI proposition. Her responsibilities include coaching and monitoring advisers, conducting development calls, supporting Training & Competence programmes, assisting with inductions and training delivery, and contributing to key PMI projects, including system implementation.
Her appointment follows closely after TRM’s recent hire of Sandra Fuelle as Insurance Development Manager, further underlining the network’s strategic focus on building a robust, specialist PMI offering for its members.
Gemma joins TRM with over a decade of experience in the PMI sector, having worked both as a Business Development Manager and as an adviser. She previously held roles at two of the industry’s largest insurers, Bupa and AXA Health, where she supported advisers and brokerages of all sizes, helping them achieve their private medical insurance targets.
Prior to this, Gemma worked at Everywhen as a Senior Employee Benefits Consultant, advising on PMI, IPMI, dental and cash plans. She later moved into a management role, overseeing one of the largest renewal portfolios in the business while also coaching and developing her team to excel in their PMI conversations.
Amy Wilson, Head of insurance at TRM, said:
We are very pleased to welcome Gemma to the team at an important time for our PMI & Healthcare proposition. Her appointment reflects our continued growth in this space and our commitment to building a specialist division that supports advisers in delivering high-quality PMI advice.
With recent strategic hires and ongoing investment, we are focused on addressing the clear opportunity within the intermediary market for a stronger, more specialist PMI offering, and Gemma will play a key role in helping us achieve this.
Gemma Penkethman, PMI Supervision & Development Manager at TRM, said:
