All BM Solutions customers, since September 2021, have an account number starting with the number 6. Your customer will have had a letter to confirm their new account number and any subsequent letters will have quoted the new number. The new number will consist of 14 digits.
If your client has given you their ‘6’ account number which includes / or -, then this has to be translated into a 14 digit number should you wish to view “mortgage enquiry”, or create a new product transfer or further advance application. See examples below:
- If the account number has 12 numbers – then remove the / and – and add 00 at the end: 60/02013198-10 converts to 60020131981000.
- If the account number has 11 numbers and only has one number after the – then replace the – with a 0 and add 00 at the end: 60/02013198-1 converts to 60020131980100
- If the account number has 10 numbers, then you will need to replace both the / and – with 0 and add 00 at the end:60/2013198-1 converts to 60020131980100.
If customers do not have a copy of their letter, they can find the ‘6’ number on the Direct Debit reference, or they can also check bank statements and / or internet banking.
