Monday 11th May is the start of National Conversation Week 2020 (NCW) in partnership with Defaqto in support of Mind.
In this uncertain time, it is really important to be keeping the conversations going with your clients, not only to create business opportunities but to reassure your clients they’re not alone and you’re there to help.
Finances are something that affect us all but often we’re not particularly proactive when it comes to talking about them and sharing our concerns. Whether it’s down to a lack of knowledge or hard to understand jargon, NCW wants to encourage people to talk and open up. Which is where you come in.
Paymentshield have created a number of adviser facing resources to support your conversations. This includes the ‘Let’s Talk’ guide which provides suggestions about how you can have more GI conversations alongside useful case studies. You can also access our recently updated 22 Questions’ eBooks, which covers the questions you should be asking to help provide support to your clients in this uncertain time and get the most out of your GI conversations.
There’s also lots of ways for you and your clients to get involved, whether it be via social media and joining in the Twitter conversation by sharing stories or downloading Paymentshield’s useful ‘Tough Times’ guide which provides readers with helpful advice around dealing with the difficult times we’re currently in.
On the National Conversation Week website itself there’s plenty of new articles to read from talking to children about money to tackling student isolation. As the state of our finances can really affect the state of our mental health this year’s partnership with Mind is so crucial. The charity provides advice to those who may be suffering and offers up support and respect via their team of workers either at the other end of the phone or at one of their 125 local Minds.
