We are really pleased to announce a new range of add-on insurance covers to our online home insurance quote portal. The seamless quote process ensures add-ons are only applied to customer policies where suitable and is in addition to our recently updated online quote pack, providing brokers with IDD compliance support.

The new range of add-ons incorporate Home Emergency cover (covering up to £1,000 any one claim towards call out, labour, parts and materials against a range of domestic emergencies including plumbing, blockages, gas/electricity failure and central heating/boiler failure) and Personal Legal Expenses, including ID theft protection, employment disputes, criminal prosecution defence, tax protection and a range of cover to defend or pursue civil or domestic disputes.

Key Cover areas on the Home Emergency also includes

  • Unserviced boilers are covered: The policy covers the boiler even if it has not been serviced, although in these circumstances, there is an increased excess of £65 towards the repairs.
  • Contributions: The policy contributes £250 where boilers are between 5 and 15 years old and beyond economical repair, or the full policy limit if the boiler is under this age.
  • External water pipes: The policy covers the water supply beyond the stopcock but in the boundary of the property.
  • Faulty cisterns: are covered if they are causing a leak.
  • Cooker cover: The policy will now assist your clients in restoring a means of heating and preparing food.
