We’re excited to announce that we have made some new enhancements to your clients Mutual Benefits, which go beyond the policyholder. Here’s how we’ve extended your clients discretionary Mutual Benefits providing help for both them and their family!

Another industry first – our unique Care Assistance Benefit now covers your clients’ parent or parent-in-law

Our discretionary Care Assistance benefit now covers your clients if their parents/parents-in-law need full time care as well as their partner, spouse or child (up to age 18). We are the first Income Protection provider to extend this type of cover to parents and parents-in-law. In the event of a claim we will pay a weekly benefit of £125 for a maximum of 26 weeks for partner, spouse or child and 13 weeks for their parent/parent in law.Please note, your clients will be unable to claim if their parents already need care or have a condition which will result in full-time care. Your clients can now use valuable healthcare services for their family…

Accessing healthcare when you need it can sometimes be difficult. That’s why we have teamed up with Square Health to give your clients access to a range of healthcare services at a time that suits them at no extra cost. Now, your clients can share their allocation of Health Support Points with their partner, spouse or child (up to age 23) so they can use any of the services we offer.

British Friendly members are given 100 Health Support Points each year to use on services including:

  • Virtual GP consultations (25 Health Support Points)
  • Physiotherapy (33 Health Support Points) – with an option to request a specific physiotherapist
  • Counseling (33 Health Support Points)
  • 2nd opinion services (100 Health Support Points)
