Non-discretionary deductions can’t be excluded from the affordability assessment

New updates to Introducer Internet

Help to Buy: equity loan scheme

When submitting a Help to Buy: equity loan scheme application, please select ‘Help to Buy: equity loan schemes’ in the AIP > Loan required > Loan purpose. This has been renamed from ‘Shared equity’. Please also remember to select a product code with a H2 prefix.

For more information, please see our Guide to submitting Help to Buy: equity loan scheme applications.

Capital raising

We’ve added a new question to Introducer Internet which will be displayed if the capital raising for personal purposes amount is £50,000 or more. The new question in FMA > Loan required > Loan breakdown will ask you to tell us the reasons for capital raising.

Affordability declarations

Where an applicant receives child benefit, child tax credits or maintenance payments, we’re making it easier for you to tell us how the mortgage will remain affordable when these payments end by giving you a list to choose from.

Case tracking (MATS)

We’ve updated the link in the MATS emails we send you so that it takes you straight to Introducer Internet. Once you’ve logged on you’ll be able to track all your cases in one place, upload documents and send us notes on your cases.

For more information on how to access and use MATS, please see our MATS user guide.

Please vote for us at the Mortgage Strategy Awards 2018!

Voting closes Wednesday 27 September
