Introduction:

General & Medical Healthcare are continually reviewing our products to ensure that they offer compelling solutions and great value to customers in line with the market. Changes to options available as part of our Private Health Insurance products are detailed below.

These changes will display in online quotations, where applicable, from the effective date shown against each item.

Details of Changes:

Private Health Insurance for Individuals/Families and Corporate HealthcareOur members are telling us that they are still experiencing longer than usual waiting times to see their NHS GP. To give more of our members quick access to GP Services we are enhancing our Private GP Services offering.

From 1st May ALL Individual, Family and Corporate healthcare will benefit from the 24 Hour GP Advice Line.

We have introduced the following product enhancements:

Out-Patient Physiotherapy & Complementary medicine

  • Lifestyle Plus – increase benefit limit from £1,000 to £1,500
  • Elite – increase benefit limit from £1,500 to £2,000
  • Module 2 – increase benefit limit from £1,000 to £1,500
  • Business Elite – increase benefit limit from £1,500 to £2,000

Private GP services

  • Elite – increase benefit limit from £300 to £500
  • Business Elite – increase benefit limit from £300 to £500

Hospice Care – Treatment for Cancer

  • Lifestyle – increase benefit limit from £2,250 to £2,500
  • Elite – increase benefit limit from £2,250 to £2,500
  • Module 2 – increase benefit limit from £2,250 to £2,500
  • Business Elite – increase benefit limit from £2,250 to £2,500

Individual business only – Cover for In-patient Mental Health

To give more access to in-patient mental health cover we have made this option available for across more product modules.

Inpatient Mental Health option now available on:

  • Essentials Plus
  • Everyday Standard and Plus
  • Lifestyle Standard and Plus
  • Elite

Actions and Supporting Documents:

  • All immediately affected documents are live via our secure website and available to download.
  • All further affected documents will be available via our website when they come into effect.
  • Please ensure that you log in to your Broker Area to view and download the new versions of relevant documents and discard any old copies.
  • To do this, click on the ‘Login button at the top of our website homepage, and select ‘Broker Login’ from the available options, at which point you will be prompted to enter your log in details. Once logged in, please click on ‘Documents’ to view and download up to date versions of our brochures, application forms and policy documentation.
